Morningside is pleased to accept files from all major Mac OS and Windows applications. However they must conform to the following specifications
We accept files from the following applications:
- Mac OS and Windows
- Adobe Acrobat
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
If any scanning, typesetting or alteration is involved it must be clearly marked on copy (i.e. fax and lasers).
We support various transfer methods: (Mac OS and Windows)
- E-mail
- File Transfer Protocol
- CD
Whenever possible removable media will be sent back separately from your printed artwork for safety reasons.
Please make sure that exactly 3mm bleed is placed on your artwork where needed, artwork to be 1-up on a single page document.
Where possible convert your text to paths, curves or outlines. Please remember to supply us with all the relevant files for output (e.g.. fonts and graphics) otherwise this may incur a delayed delivery. If you have any other files in your transfer besides the files you want us to use, please clearly mark the files which are intended for output. Also, please let us know what files are attached and for what product. Without this, your job may incur a delay.
Please ensure that all images supplied are of a resolution of 300dpi. If mailing your material please include a colour or a black & white proof copy of
your file and also include all fonts, scans and linked items on your disk. Please do not supply Quark Xpress artwork containing linked text boxes.
Artwork containing linked text boxes will be rejected.
Make sure all colours are nominated PMS or CMYK. Please note that certain Pantone colours are outside the printable colour range of CMYK devices.
Screen colours are never accurate, please check your Pantone or CMYK specifications. Always indicate exact file & output size and the stock required.
- Please check document sizes to the output specifications.
- If delivery is urgent please check your deadline is achievable.
- Please label any mailed artwork material with a return address.
Business Cards
Business Cards must be designed to exact measurements ie: 90x54, 90x40, 90x55. (Unless card is a unique size - this must be specified.)
All Business Cards must have a 3mm bleed around entire artwork.
Artwork must be designed at a minimum of 300dpi resolution.
Photographs used in design must also be 300dpi resolution.
All images must be CMYK
All fonts must be embedded or outlined
Flyers - Postcards - With Comps - Swing Tags - Posters
Artwork must be designed to exact measurements ie: A5 - 148x210. (Unless artwork is a unique size - this must be specified.)
All artwork must have a 3mm bleed around entire artwork.
Artwork must be designed at a minimum of 300dpi resolution.
Photographs used in design must also be 300dpi resolution.
All images must be CMYK
All fonts must be embedded or outlined
Letterheads
Artwork must be designed to exact measurements ie: A4 - 297x210.
All artwork must have a 3mm bleed around entire artwork.
Artwork must be designed at a minimum of 300dpi resolution.
Photographs used in design must also be 300dpi resolution.
All images must be CMYK or Spot Color
All fonts must be embedded or outlined
Folded Brochures
Artwork must be designed to exact measurements Flat ie: DL 6PP Brochure - 210x297mm(A4 Flat) or A4 4PP Brochure - 420x297mm (A3 Flat)
All artwork must have a 3mm bleed around entire artwork.
Artwork must be designed at a minimum of 300dpi resolution.
Photographs used in design must also be 300dpi resolution.

Booklets Artwork
must be designed to exact measurements single paged ie: A4 Booklet - 210x297mm

Calendars
Artwork must be designed to exact measurements Flat ie: A4 210x297mm
All artwork must have a 3mm bleed around entire artwork.
Artwork must be designed at a minimum of 300dpi resolution.

Greeting Cards
Artwork must be designed to exact measurements either Flat or single file ie: FLAT: DL - 210x198mm or Single page: 210x99mm
All artwork must have a 3mm bleed around entire artwork.
Artwork must be designed at a minimum of 300dpi resolution.
Photographs used in design must also be 300dpi resolution.
All images must be CMYK
All fonts must be embedded or outlined
